NRBC Bank opens 80th branch in Gaibandha’s Sundarganj

The NRB Commercial Bank Limited formally launched its 80th branch in Sundarganj of Gaibandha on Thursday.

Member of the Parliament of Gaibandha-1 Barrister Shamim Haider Patwary inaugurated the branch, situated on Thana Road, as the chief guest through video conference, while Chairman of NRBC Bank SM Parvez Tamal presided over the occasion.

Chairman of Gaibandha Zila Parishad Ataur Rahman attended the ceremony as a guest of honour, reads a press release.

Barrister Shamim Haider Patwary urged the NRBC Bank authorities to provide technology-based banking services to the under-privileged sections who are beyond the reach of the banking network.

He hoped that the bank will continue to work for social and economic development in the area.

The bank’s Chairman Parvez Tamal said since its beginning, NRBC Bank has been providing transparent and effective services to its customers with latest technologies.

NRBC Bank is working in partnership with a number of government services, he said, adding that the bank will continue to work for social and economic development in the area.

The bank’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Harunur Rashid and Sundarganj Branch Manager Md Mahmud Al Humaide, among others, were present on the occasion.

NRBC Bank’s significant services are collection of land registration and BRTA fees, cash transaction facility, remittance services, fund transfer, utility bill (gas, water, electricity) collection, all kinds of card services, and internet banking.

All of these services are available in the mobile app ``PLANET’’, the release added.
