HSBC launches state-of-the-art branch in Dhanmondi

The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) in Bangladesh has officially relaunched its state-of-the-art Dhanmondi branch at the tenth floor of Bay’s Park Height.
Centrally located in Dhanmondi, the new energy-efficient branch is equipped with the latest air quality management system to protect human health and the environment. It leverages light, sound, and greenery to ensure improved branch experience for customers, reads a press release received here on Monday.
A brand new queue management system has been designed to enhance the visitor experience and reduce the use of paper tickets, with customers able to enter service request details via an iPad and generate service ticket.
The bank hosted a webinar on 15 December 2020 in the presence of customers and employees to inaugurate the branch.
Md Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin, Member of Parliament, Dhaka-10, was present at the event as the chief guest.
“HSBC is a global bank and you get to see its presence almost everywhere you travel…The new branch in Dhanmondi, I believe will help cater to the community and allow the residents achieve their financial ambitions,” Shafiul Islam said.
Kazi Sayedur Rahman, deputy governor of the Bangladesh Bank, and Nihad Kabir, president of the Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), were also present as special guests.
Speaking about the new branch, Md Mahbub ur Rahman, Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Bangladesh, said, “The opening of HSBC’s new branch in Dhanmondi is an important step forward in our journey to set the standard for modern banking within the communities we serve in Bangladesh.”
