Bank Asia wins ICAB National Award

Bank Asia has won the 20th ICAB National Award in all three categories (Private Sector Banks, Corporate Governance Disclosures & Integrated Reporting) for the Best Presented Annual Report 2019.

Md Arfan Ali, president and managing director of Bank Asia, and Mohammad Ibrahim Khalil FCA, chief financial officer (CFO) of the bank, received the trophy from Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi at a programme held at Hotel Pan Pacific Sonargaon, Dhaka on November 26, reads a press release received here on Monday.

According to the event organiser, the annual reports are one of the means of evaluating the transparency and accountability of an organisation.

One of their specialised committees – the Review Committee for Published Accounts and Reports (RCPAR) – evaluated the annual reports of all the leading companies of the country and nominated Bank Asia for the award.
