BD Services’ Q2 earnings hit hard by Covid-19

Bangladesh Services Ltd, the state-owned hospitality company, has reported a steep fall in its earnings year-on-year in the second quarter of the last year due to the Covid-19.
Its EPS stood at Tk 3.88 in the negative in Q2 (October-December) of 2020, a whopping fall of 415 percent from Tk 1.23 in the same period a year earlier, said the company in a filing with the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Monday.
During the period, the company’s net operating cash flow per share (NOCFPS) was negative Tk 7.87 from positive Tk 2.80 in the same period a year ago due to less cash inflow from receivables compared to the same period of last year.
Its net asset value (NAV) per share was Tk 11.88 in the negative as on December 31 and Tk 6.76 in the negative as on June 30, 2020.
The company manages Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel, Ruposhi Bangla Hotel,VIP lounge in Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Bangabandhu International Conference Center and other hospitality operations.
