The annual conference of the Universal Medical College Hospital (formerly known as Aysha Memorial Hospital) in Mohakhali was held on December 15. 

Preeti Chakraborty, chairman of the hospital, presided over the function held at the conference room of Universal Nursing College at Rasulbagh in Mohakhali, a press release from the hospital says.

Managing Director of the hospital Dr Ashish Kumar Chakraborty, Medical Director Brigadier General (Retd) Prof Dr AK Mahbubul Haque, Director Avijit Bhattacharya, Chief Financial Officer Baidda Nath Saha, Assistant Director Dr Kazi Rafiqul Alam, Manager Shaheda Khatun and Head of Accounts Ananda Kumar Saha were present at the conference. 

The conference called for a more meaningful year and announced the year 2021 as the Year of Implementation. The conference emphasised the need to provide better and faster treatment to patients. 

Already, construction work has begun on a multi-storey building for Universal Medicity, a modern specialised hospital with 500 beds, which will house almost all treatments in the developed world, including organ (liver, kidney, and joint) transplants, according to the press release.

Hospital Development Manager AKM Shahed Hossain gave welcome speech and vote of thanks. 

Deputy Business Development Manager Rajib Alam Chowdhury and Senior Brand Development Executive C F Zaman hosted the event. 

At the end of the conference, special awards and certificates were given to the officers and employees of different departments of the hospital in recognition of their work in the prevention of covid during the epidemic and cultural programs were organised in keeping with the social distance.
