BAFEDA forms new committee for 2021-22 term

The election of office bearers (executive committee) of the Bangladesh Foreign Exchange Dealers’ Association (BAFEDA) for the term 2021-2022 was held on Sunday in a virtual meeting.

CEO & Managing Director of Sonali Bank Limited Md Ataur Rahman Prodhan was elected as Chairman of BAFEDA. 

Managing Director & CEO of Export Import Bank of Bangladesh Ltd Dr Mohammad Haider Ali Miah and Managing Director & CEO of Islamic Bank Bangladesh Limited Md Mahbub ul Alam were respectively elected as Vice Chairman and Treasurer of BAFEDA, says a press release. 

The other members of the executive committee are Managing Director & CEO of Agrani Bank Ltd Mohammad Shams Ul Islam. CEO & Managing Director of Rupali Bank Limited Md Obayed Ullah Al-Masud, CEO & Managing Director of Janata Bank Limited Md Abdus Salam Azad, Managing Director of Bangladesh Krishi Bank Md Ali Hossain Pradhania. Chief Executive Officer of Standard Chartered Bank Naser Ezaz Bijoy and Managing Director & CEO of Modhumoti Bank Ltd Md Shafiul Azam.  

Managing Director & CEO of First Security Islami Bank Limited Syed Waseque Md Ali was the chairman of the election board of BAFEDA. 

Other members of the election board were Managing Director & CEO of Pubali Bank Ltd Md Abdul Halim Chowdhury and Managing Director & CEO of Social Islami Bank Ltd Quazi Osman Ali.
