‘Shera Radhuni’, a regular initiative from the Square Food and Beverage Limited’s well-known brand ‘Radhuni’, is all set to return on television screen.

Based on the slogan, titled ‘Not just the people surrounding you, your cooking talent will be cherished across the nation’, ‘Shera Radhuni 1427’ is going to start very soon.

The sixth season of the reality show, which aims to find the best culinary artists in Bangladesh, will be aired on Maasranga Television.

Following the success of last five seasons’ diversified arrangements, this year’s event will also have novelty and exciting competition to enjoy.

The announcement came at a press conference held at the ballroom of Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka on Tuesday, reads a press release.

Md Parvez Saiful Islam, Chief Operating Officer, Square Food and Beverage Ltd., Imtiaz Firoze, Head of Marketing, Square Food and Beverage Ltd., Ajoy Kumar Kundu, Chief Operation Officer, Mediacom Ltd. and Executive Director, Maasranga Television, and three judges of this competition – Internationally renowned chef Subhabrata Maitra, culinary expert Rahima Sultana Rita, actress and media personality Dilara Hanif Purnima, were present at the conference.

Senior officials of the Square Food and Beverage Limited, Mediacom Limited and Maasranga Television were also present.

Md Parvez Saiful Islam promised to follow national health and hygiene guideline throughout the season under the changed circumstances due to the outbreak of Coronavirus.

Ajoy Kumar Kundu expressed his hope to organise Shera Radhuni 1427 safely and fairly.

Imtiaz Firoze gave the audience some ideas about this season’s program plan and competition.

The three judges, in their brief statements, explained about the qualities they will look for to find out this season’s ‘Shera Radhuni’.

Registration for the Shera Radhuni 1427 competition will start on December 30, 2020 and will continue till January 31, 2021.

Any Bangladeshi male or female over 18 years of age can take part in it. The registration process for this season’s Shera Radhuni would be little different.

Due to pandemic, participants will experience some newness in audition process. However, in order to ensure that the judges have a good idea about participants’ cooking skills and ability to present themselves, the contestants will have to create and send a cooking video of their own recipes in order to register for the competition.

Contestants can create a ‘step-by-step’ cooking video explaining the cooking process and method, or he/she can make a video with their fully prepared dish in front of him/her and describe the ingredients and cooking method on the camera.

If anyone is unable to make a videotape, they can send the word file of their recipes or image of handwritten recipes along with the photograph of them with their prepared dishes.

Contestants can submit video file or recipe and photo of the prepared food with them along with other information to the Shera Radhuni’s own website www.sheraradhuni.com or email the videos, recipes, photos and other information directly to this address: sheraradhuni1427@gmail.com.

The contestants will be chosen from 7 regions all over of Bangladesh. Initially 24 top contestants will be selected through divisional auditions. From there, after another competition, 15 participants will be selected for grooming round.

These 15 participants will also compete in the studio rounds as well. And after several rounds of challenges that test their cooking, personality, sales expertise, leadership skills, management skills, situational awareness and wit, the ‘Shera Radhuni 1427’ will be chosen.

The winner will receive the grand prize of one and a half million taka. While the first and second runner up will get one million taka and five hundred thousand taka respectively.
