Indian GoAir to start Bangladesh operations on November 26

Indian budget airline GoAir will start flying to Bangladesh from November 26 under the Air Bubble Agreement signed between Bangladesh and India recently.

The airline has appointed ABC-Air Ltd as their General Sales Agent (GSA) — passenger for the territory of Bangladesh, reads a press release.

Initially, GoAir flights will be operated on Thursdays and Saturdays. Flight G8-1540 will depart Kolkata at 10:50am and arrive in Dhaka at 12:20pm. The return flight G8-4040 will depart Dhaka at 1:10pm and reach Kolkata at 1:40pm.

The flights will be operated by the Airbus A-320.

One-way fare will start from Tk6,200 and the return fare from Tk11,400.

ABC-AIR Ltd, a leading travel and cargo transportation solution providers in Bangladesh, started its operations in 1985. It served Emirates Airline and Korean Air as their GSA and PSA in Bangladesh for over 30 years.

ABC-Air Ltd continues to be the GSA of Korean Air to this day, helping the offline carrier to have a strong presence in the Bangladeshi market. ABC-Air caters to about 400 travel agents and 100 cargo agents in Bangladesh.

GoAir, based in Mumbai, India commenced operations in 2005 and boasts a modern fleet of all Economy A-320 Airbus. It operates from its hubs in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata and Kanpur to domestic and international destinations.
