Sonali Paper to become an `A` category share

Sonali Paper & Board Mills Ltd, a listed company in Dhaka Stock Exchange, is going to come out of a ‘Z’ (junk) category share after the company recommended 15 percent dividend for the year ended on June 30.

Of the dividends, 5 percent is cash and 10 percent stock, according to a decision of the company’s board of directors taken in the third week of October.

The company reported earnings per share of Tk 1.61, down from Tk 3.81 a year ago.

The shares of Sonali Paper placed under the ‘Z’ category after it got relisted from the OTC market to the main market.

The company produces white and printing papers and simplex and duplex papers.
