Superbrands Bangladesh has honoured 40 organisations as the most prestigious and valuable brands in the country for 2020-21.
The brands were awarded through a virtual programme on Thursday, reads a press release.
Superbrands is a global arbiter for brands which operates in 90 countries around the world. Launched in 1994, Superbrands has become the most prominent success symbol for brands.
Superbrands are selected through a process which involves independent and voluntary panels of experts from a range of backgrounds, known as the Brand Council.
Speaking on the occasion as the chief guest, Salman Fazlur Rahman, private sector and investment adviser to the prime minister, said, “I would like to congratulate all the winners today. This recognition is a reflection of all the employees' hard work. It is recognising the people of all the institutions who are being awarded.”
Shariful Islam, managing director of Superbrands Bangladesh, said, “A quality brand delivering both from its product and services point of view, both in a tangible and intangible way, over a period of time builds trust. A trust that is built over a continuous period of time builds a Superbrand.”
“It is really a moment of pride to be recognised as the 'Superbrands'. I take this opportunity to express my gratitude to our employees and all the partners for their relentless effort for continuous innovation in developing new products and services for the clients. We are grateful to our clients for believing us to be the custodian of their risks”, Farzanah Chowdhury, managing director and chief executive officer of the Green Delta Insurance Ltd., said as an award winner.
The ceremony also marked the unveiling of Superbrands publication for the next two years. Nazia Andaleeb Preema, a visual artist and president of the Bangladesh Brand Forum, designed the cover of the publication named Visual Dialogue, adds the release.
