Unilever Bangladesh Limited (UBL), in collaboration with Niketan, has donated Tk10.3 lakh to Amar Joti Special School.

The principal of Amar Joti Special School Rabeya Yeasmin Neela, Human Resources Director of UBL Sakshi Handa and Finance Excellence Team Leader Babul Saha, along with other UBL officials engaged in a classroom session and interacted with the children with special needs on Wednesday to celebrate “International day for persons with disabilities.”

The day was observed in an eventful manner by observing a cultural programme and cutting cake with the children.

Along with the engagement session, UBL handed over the cheque of Tk10.3 lakh to the school’s three selected students, which is one year worth of their educational expenses.

Amar Joti Special School is a concern of Niketan, where children with complex disabilities receive quality and appropriate education by making use of Individual Education Programmes (IEP) and thematic education.

UBL has partnered with Niketan, an organisation of Dutch origin, to help the disabled children of Bangladesh.
