Qatar Airways doubles Dhaka flights

Qatar Airways has announced that flights to and from Dhaka have been increased to double daily services, and will be operated by the airline’s Boeing 777 offering 42 seats in business class and 354 seats in economy class.
Qatar Airways Regional Manager, Indian Subcontinent, Karthik Viswanathan, said: “At Qatar Airways, we continue to reinforce our commitment to get our passengers safely to where they need to be. We understand the need for citizens and residents of Bangladesh to be able to connect seamlessly to key destinations in Canada, France, Germany, Italy, UK, and the US.
“We are delighted to be increasing flights to Bangladesh and this double daily service to Dhaka will help reunite many passengers who have been unable to return home due to global travel restrictions,” he added.
The airline recently announced the launch of flights to Seattle in March 2021 that will increase Qatar Airways’ US network to 59 weekly flights to 11 destinations in the US, connecting onwards to hundreds of American cities through strategic partnerships with Alaska Airlines, American Airlines and JetBlue, reads a press release.
Passengers planning to travel to and from Bangladesh should possess and show ‘PCR based COVID-19 negative certificate' on-arrival at the airport and the PCR test shall be done within 72 hours of the flight departure time.
All foreign passport holders must hold COVID-19 negative test results issued within 72 hours from the time of arrival in Bangladesh written in English language, including Diplomat passport holders and their immediate family members, UN passport holders, etc.
Visa on arrival facility is temporarily suspended for all foreign nationals until further notice except for the business investors as per TIMATIC excerpts that state that the accredited inviting organization must notify the immigration authorities prior to arrival, and have a medical certificate with a negative coronavirus test result issued at most 72 hours before arrival.
Qatar Airways currently operates more than 700 weekly flights to over 100 destinations across the globe. By the end of March 2021, Qatar Airways plans to rebuild its network to 126 destinations including 20 in Africa, 11 in the Americas, 29 in Asia-Pacific, 38 in Europe, 13 in India and 15 in the Middle East.
Many cities will be served with a strong schedule with daily or more frequencies.
To ensure travellers can plan their travel with peace of mind, the airline has also extended its booking policies to offer even more choice to its passengers.
