Anjan Chowdhury becomes ATCO president

Anjan Chowdhury, managing director of Maasranga Television, has been re-elected as president of the association of television channel owners (ATCO) on Saturday.

DBC News Chairman Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury has been elected as the senior vice president of the ATCO while Bashundhara Group managing director Sayem Sobhan Anvir, also News24 managing director, was elected a director of a 15-member board of directors elected for the next three years at the association’s 44th general meeting held at a hotel in the capital.

Some 19 candidates contested for 15 director positions of the forum, said a press release.

“We will work to fulfil the expectations of the people of the country,” said Anjan Chowdhury

At the same time, he urged the new ATCO members to move forward without worrying about their own channel.
