Padma Bank inaugurates agent banking outlet in Khulna Sadar

Padma Bank has launched an agent banking outlet in Khulna Sadar under its Khulna Branch.
Padma Bank's Vice Chairman Hasan Taher Imam inaugurated the outlet as the chief guest from Dhaka head office through a virtual platform on Monday.
From this outlet, customers will be able to deposit West Power Zone electricity bills, buy bus and plane tickets, and pay Indian visa fees apart from regular banking facilities.
This is Padma Bank's second agent banking outlet. In July, the fourth generation Padma Bank started its first agent banking activities in Akahlia area of Narsingdi’s Amdia union.
Padma Bank’s Managing Director (Current Charge) Faisal Ahsan Chowdhury addressed the inaugural function as a special guest.
He said that the fourth-generation private commercial bank is fast moving towards full-blown digitisation.
Padma Bank has launched agent banking services as part of its plan to extend banking services to unbanked customers in every district and Upazila of the country.
Agent banking is another achievement of that endeavour. Customers can transact with ease without any hassle here.
CEO of Master Agent (EDCABS Ltd) Dr Hafizur Rahman joined the virtual event as a special guest from Khulna.
Zabed Amin, SEVP and Head of business, M Ahsan Ullah Khan, SEVP and Head of Human Resources Division, and Muhammad Zakaria Karim, Head of Agent Banking as well as top officials of the divisions attended the inauguration program.
Local dignitaries welcomed the new endeavour of Padma Bank.
