BRAC Bank has won ‘Gold Award’ at the 8th Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) National Award for Corporate Governance Excellence in General Banking Category.
Minister Tipu Munshi formally handed over the award to BRAC Bank’s Deputy Managing Director & CFO M Masud Rana at a city hotel in the capital on Sunday.
Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) Chairman Professor Shibli Rubayat-Ul-Islam and ICSB President Muzaffar Ahmed were present at the event, according to a press release.
On winning the award, BRAC Bank Managing Director & CEO Selim RF Hussain said that at BRAC Bank, governance, compliance, ethics and transparency are the cornerstones of their business model.
“This recognition from ICSB is another acknowledgement of our successful journey towards becoming the ‘Best Bank’ in the country. We thank the bank’s valued customers and stakeholders for their continued guidance and confidence in the organisation that makes us what we are today,” he further added.
