Aramit Cement declares 5% interim cash dividend

Aramit Cement Limited has recommended a 5-percent interim cash dividend for its general shareholders only other than the sponsor shareholders for the year 2021-22.

The interim dividend payout was recommended at a meeting of the company’s board of directors, said the company in a filing with the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Monday.

The record date for the entitlement of the declared interim dividend among the shareholders has been fixed for January 3, 2022.

There was no price limit on the trading of the shares of the company on Monday following its corporate declaration.

Meanwhile, the company has not paid any dividend to the shareholders in the financial year ended on June 30, 2021.

In the first quarter ending on September 30, 2021 (July-September), the company lost Tk 1.96 per share.

At the same time last year, the loss was Tk 1.32, meaning that, the company’s losses have increased over the years.
