Ispahani Agro Limited (IAL) organised a boat show for the second time in a row, in collaboration with the USAID-funded “Feed the Future Bangladesh” and “Rice & Diversified Crops (RDC)” programmes.
The company recently adopted this promotional tactic in some riverine areas of Barishal to promote its agro-based products.
Ispahani Agro Limited organised such boat shows in 2019 as well. Although it was a pilot project, they got a positive response from stakeholders which inspired them to do the same this year again in October-November.
Using the boat show is a creative and new method to promote products in riverine areas of Bangladesh.
In the previous years, Ispahani Agro conducted roadshows using truck/pick-up van in Jashore and Barishal to build awareness around their agricultural inputs.
In some riverine areas of Barishal, the Ispahani adopted this strategy which helped them to reach remote people.
The boat is beautifully decorated with banners, festoons, posters, useful products and agricultural information.
The boat used loudspeakers to broadcast product promotional material as well as interacting with local people where the boat anchored.
Rice & Diversified Crops (RDC) is hopeful that such innovative promotional tool vehicle will add a new dimension in the promotion of agricultural products and will have a sustainable impact on agricultural value chains as well as to serve remote communities.
This kind of initiative certainly will be helpful to disseminate information easily.
