Bashundhara Group MD receives ‘Best Excellence Award’

Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir has been accorded 'Best Excellence Award 2021' for his outstanding contribution to the advancement of Bangladesh’s trade and commerce.
Indian Importers Chambers of Commerces’ Industry (IICCI) conferred the award on him at a function at The Westin in Dhaka on Monday evening, read a press release.
IICCI President Atul Kumar Saxena handed over the award to the Bashundhara Group Managing Director. Receiving the award, Sayem Sobhan Anvir thanked India for being beside Bangladesh all the time.
“I wish it will remain forever,” he said. IICCI also tendered a reception to Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Vikram Kumar Doraiswami.
Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun MP attended the event as the chief guest. Gazipur Mayor Advocate Jahangir Alam was present as the guest of honour. IICCI Vice-president Syed Shameem Reza and CEO Sukanta Kashari Sumon were present on the occasion.
Industries Minister said friendship between Bangladesh and India has been renewed in all aspects including economic and trade relations.
Addressing the function, Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Vikram Kumar Doraiswami said future of India and Bangladesh is seen through business.
“Business means shared growth, business means prosperity together. Business is creating something new which we have built together,” he said.
Through trade, we can build partnership for developing investment and joint ventures, he added.
