Urmi Group launched five selling points in five of their factories in order to provide its 14,000 employees a hassle-free shopping facility for daily necessities.
The selling points were launched before occasion of holy Ramadan, on March 31. Employees can purchase daily necessities at factory rates from these points, claims a statement.
There is a facility for employees to buy daily necessities on credit, and the amount will later be adjusted from their monthly salaries.
Factory employees will be able to purchase daily essentials like soybean oil, sugar, lentil, and spices from these points.
Asif Ashraf, managing director of the group stated, “These selling points are launched during Ramadan so that employees don’t have to buy daily necessities at a higher price. Through this initiative the employees can save time and money as they don’t have to visit the market and the prices are same as manufacturing rate at the selling point.”
Workers have shown very positive response towards this facility. The service was launched in the presence of Director Shamarukh Fakhruddin with other senior officials of the organisation.
