Padma Oil posts 3% rise in Q3 earnings

Padma Oil Company Limited has posted a 3-percent increase in its earnings in the third quarter ended on March 31, 2022 as against the same quarter last year.
Its earnings per share (EPS) stood at Tk 5.17 in the Q3, up from Tk 5.03 recorded in the same period a year earlier, said the company in a filing with the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Thursday.
As of March 31, 2022, the company’s net asset value (NAV) per share stood at Tk 172.75 against Tk 168.41 as on June 30, 2021.
Meanwhile, the company had consolidated earnings per share (EPS) of Tk 16.84 in the first nine months of the current financial year (July’21-March’22).
The EPS for the same period of the previous financial year was Tk 16.23. As a result, the company’s profit increased by Tk 0.61 or 4 percent.
