UCB Stock Brokerage launches digital booth in Dubai

Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) Chairman Professor Shibli Rubayat-Ul-Islam inaugurates a digital booth of UCB Stock Brokerage Ltd in Dubai on Friday.
UCB Stock Brokerage Ltd on Friday launched a digital booth in Dubai, its first outside Bangladesh.
It will serve non-resident Bangladeshi (NRB) investors as well as other foreign investors who wish to invest in the Bangladesh capital market, said a press release.
The digital booth will provide one-stop service to investors for account opening, fund transfer to Bangladesh for investing in the capital market, taking orders for stock/bond trading and arranging repatriation of funds from Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) Chairman Professor Shibli Rubayat-Ul-Islam inaugurated the booth.
United Commercial Bank Executive Committee Chairman Anisuzzaman Chowdhury attended as special guest.
Dr Nahid Hossain, joint secretary, Ministry of Finance, Professor Dr Md Jonaid Shafiq, director of United Commercial Bank, Shyamal Dutta, editor of Daily Bhorer Kagoj, and Mohammed Mohiuddin, managing director of Island Securities, and Mohammed Mahtabur Rahman, chairman of Al Haramain Group and president of the NRB Association, among others, were present on the occasion.
