Sonali Life declares 13% final cash dividend

Sonali Life Insurance Company Limited has recommended a 13 percent final cash dividend (a total of 15 percent cash dividend inclusive 2 percent interim cash dividend which has already been paid) for its shareholders for the year ended on December 31, 2021.

The dividend payout was recommended at the company’s board of directors meeting.

However, final approval regarding the dividends will come during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for September 28, 2022 on digital platform, said the company in a filing with the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Sunday.

The record date for the distribution of the declared dividend among the shareholders has been fixed as August 31, 2022.

There will be no price limit on the trading of the shares of the Company today (July 31) following its corporate declaration.

Meanwhile, the company reported that increase in life revenue account for Jan-Mar’22 was Tk 43.92 crore with total life insurance fund of Tk 340.95 crore as against an increase in life revenue account for Jan-Mar’21 was Tk 14.57 crore with total life insurance fund of Tk 168.28 crore respectively for the same period of the previous year.
