BAT Bangladesh wins ICMAB Best Corporate Award

The Institute of Cost Management Accounts of Bangladesh (ICMAB) awarded BAT Bangladesh with the gold award under the Manufacturing category of the Best Corporate Award 2019.

Minister of Commerce Tipu Munshi graced the event as the chief guest while BSEC Chairman Professor Shibli Rubayat-Ul-Islam, MoC Secretary Dr Md Jafar Uddin and SAFA President A K M Delwer Hussain were present as the special guests.
Managing Director of BAT Bangladesh Shehzad Munim and Independent Director K H Masud Siddiqui officially received the award from the commerce minister.
BAT Bangladesh is renowned for its benchmark governance, transparency in its entire value chain and also for embracing exemplary policies to assure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements ensuring the interest of stakeholders, the press release claimed.
Moreover, the company’s continuous efforts in creating and sustaining a positive impact in the communities have resulted in award-winning initiatives.
BAT Bangladesh previously won this award for four consecutive years since 2016.
This year the company stepped into its 110th year of operation in Bangladesh. Over the years, it has earned numerous recognitions from different prestigious bodies, the press release concludes.
