Prominent businessman Mohammed Ayub has been elected the vice chairman of the Board of Directors of South Bangla Agriculture and Commerce (SBAC) Bank in its 152th Board meeting held on Thursday.
Mohammed Ayub is a sponsor director of SBAC Bank and also plays an important role in various committees of the board, read a press release.
Prior to being elected as vice chairman, he was the chairman of Executive Committee (EC) of the bank.
He is a business person having huge conglomerates in the garments sector.
Mohammed Ayub by dint of his dynamic leadership, founded most commonly known as Ayub & Co Ltd, one of the largest and leading business conglomerates of Bangladesh.
He is remarkably involved in different socio-economic activities. Moreover, he has a great reputation for his benevolence and philanthropic nature. He was born in 1962 in a renowned Muslim family in Chattogram. He obtained his B.Com. degree from Chittagong University in 1981. He is a distinguished and promising businessman of Garments Accessories Manufacturing and Export and Packaging Industries of the country particularly in the port city of Chattogram. He deals in import business also and is a well-known importer of different types of papers, boards and printing ink.
He is the managing director of Ayub & Co Ltd, Proprietor of Pioneer Enterprise and United Enterprise.
He is a managing partner of Pacific International.
