Mohammad Ali appointed as MD & CEO of Pubali Bank

Mohammad Ali has been appointed as Managing Director and CEO of Pubali Bank Limited by the board of directors.

Prior to being appointed as managing director, he has been holding the position of Additional Managing Director (AMD) & Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the bank since July 1, 2020.

Mohammad Ali joined Pubali Bank as general manager and chief technical officer in 2008, said a press release.

Later, he was promoted to deputy managing director of the bank.

Ali held the position of credit committee chairman along with chief risk officer, CAMLCO and CTO of the bank. During his tenure as deputy managing director and additional managing director, he also led the international division, credit division, treasury division, consumer credit division, card division etc.

Ali secured the position in the combined merit list in HSC from Rangpur Cadet College. He completed his graduation and post-graduation in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Masters’s degree in Development Studies from Dhaka University, Executive MBA (Marketing) from IBA and MBA (Finance) from AUST.

He obtained Deans Award from Dhaka University for his outstanding result in Development Studies. He took part in various training programs, seminars and conference at home and abroad.
