Md Jashim Uddin has been re-elected as the chairman of the Board of Directors of Bengal Commercial Bank (BGCB) while Alhaj Mahbubul Alam and Engr Ghulam Mohammed Alomgir have also been re-elected as the vice chairmen of the board.
They have been elected unanimously for the second time on February 20 at the 18th board meeting of the bank.
Md Jashim Uddin has been playing his role as the vice chairman of Bengal Group of Industries, a renowned industrial group and he is also leading the whole business sector as the president of the apex trade body of the country, FBCCI.
Meanwhile, Alhaj Mahbubul Alam is the president of Chittagong Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Engr Ghulam Mohammed Alomgir is the chairman of Max Group.
Bengal Commercial Bank got license from Bangladesh Bank on February 23 as the 60th scheduled Bank of the Country. The Board, headed by Md Jashim Uddin, took charge in the first Board Meeting on March 2. Later the Bank came into commercial operations on March 11, 2021.
