Nagad, the country's leading mobile financial service provider, extends its heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Nobel laureate economist and globally acclaimed thinker, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, on his appointment as Chief Adviser of the interim government

The MFS provider also extends its greetings to all the advisers of the new government.

On this occasion, Mohammad Aminul Haque, Managing Director of Nagad Digital Bank, expressed confidence that under the leadership of the legendary economist, Professor Yunus, Bangladesh's youth-driven future will continue to move forward, realizing its full potential.

"Bangladesh has witnessed a renaissance driven by the power of its students and youth. From the very beginning, Nagad has recognized youth as the primary force behind its journey. It is thanks to the aspirations of these young people that one of the world's most influential thinkers, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, has accepted the responsibility of guiding the country through this crisis," said Aminul Haque.

Expressing his good wishes to the Chief Adviser of the interim government, Haque added, "We believe that Dr. Muhammad Yunus is the right person to harness the immense potential of this country's youth and lead it forward. His leadership has already transformed the world, and now we are fortunate that he has agreed to guide Bangladesh during this critical time. I am hopeful that Nagad will also thrive under his guidance."

Born in Chittagong in 1940, Dr. Yunus played a significant role in Bangladesh's Liberation War.

After independence, he introduced groundbreaking concepts such as social business and microcredit, which have played a crucial role in poverty alleviation across Bangladesh and numerous developing countries. As a result, he became the first and only Bangladeshi to receive the Nobel Peace Prize in 2006.

Dr. Yunus has also been awarded over a hundred prestigious global honors, including the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the Congressional Gold Medal, and the Olympic Laurel.

Professor Yunus has demonstrated to Bangladesh and the world how the power of youth and collective strength can eradicate poverty. His efforts have significantly increased financial inclusion in Bangladesh.

As an organization, Nagad is deeply committed to enhancing financial inclusion as a means of poverty alleviation.

Upon returning from France, where he served as an adviser to the Paris Olympics, Professor Yunus remarked that Bangladesh would advance by harnessing the power and energy of its youth. Nagad is proud to align itself with this visionary leader's path toward a similar dream.

It is worth noting that Nagad, which embarked on its journey just five years ago, has rapidly become the second-largest mobile financial service in the country.

Today, Nagad is a family of 9.5 crore customers, all of whom share the dream of a youth-driven, prosperous Bangladesh.
