Walton MD instructs distributors, plaza & sales representatives to support flood victims

SM Mahbubul Alam, the Managing Director (MD) of Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC, has issued special instructions to the company's distributors, Plaza representatives, and sales teams to provide comprehensive support to the flood victims.

Following his directives, Walton distributors, Plaza representatives, and sales teams have been actively involved in rescue operations and relief distribution from the outset, operating under the slogan "Beside the People, For the People."

The Walton MD conveyed these instructions during a special meeting held at the Walton Corporate Office in the capital Dhaka on August 25.

The meeting focused on the necessary actions to assist the flood victims, and thousands of Walton sales representatives, distributors, and Plaza executives from across the country participated virtually.

During the meeting, SM Mahbubul Alam emphasized that millions of families in thousands of villages across several southeastern districts have been affected by the sudden floods.

He commended the Walton family for once again stepping up to support those in need, as they have done during past natural disasters.

He said, "The Walton family has always stood by the people of the country. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we distributed relief items like PPE, food, and essentials to those in need from thousands of locations across the country. Similarly, you have come forward from your respective locations to assist in rescue and relief efforts for the flood-affected people. We are proud of you. On behalf of Walton Management, we sincerely congratulate and applaud you. Continue these efforts to support those in need until the flood situation normalizes. We are also providing the necessary support for this."

The MD also mentioned that Walton is donating to and supporting various government-approved organizations and institutions to aid the flood victims.

The meeting was moderated by Walton Hi-Tech’s Senior Executive Director, Amin Khan. Other attendees included Walton Plaza’s Managing Director, Mohammad Rayhan; Walton Hi-Tech’s Additional Managing Directors, Nazrul Islam Sarker and Eva Rizwana Nilu; Walton Distributor Network’s Head of Sales, Mohammad Firoj Alam; Walton MD’s Business Coordinator, Md. Tanvir Anjum; Chief Information Officer, Mofizur Rahaman; Walton Hi-Tech’s Chief Marketing Officer, Galib bin Mohammad; and other senior officials.
