Banglalink offers free data, talk-time to its 5m inactive subscribers

Banglalink is offering free data and talk-time to its five million inactive subscribers who could not recharge their mobile accounts amid the government-enforced movement restrictions to curve the surge in Covid cases.

The Banglalink SIM users who remained inactive since April 15, 2021, because of not recharging their accounts, can get the offer -- 10 minutes of talk-time and 100 MB data each for free, said a press release.

"We are observing subscribers' needs in the current situation and have come up with the extra-facility offer to make sure that they remain connected to their families and friends digitally," said Saurabh Prakash Khare, marketing director of Banglalink.

As a socially responsible corporate entity, Banglalink is always committed to its subscribers, he added.

To avail this offer, they have to dial *888# and the received data and talk-time will be valid for the next seven days, reads the release.

The operator will keep the offer open until May 31, 2021.
