Global Insurance declares 10% dividend

Global Insurance Company Ltd has recommended 10 percent cash dividend for the year ended on December 31, 2020. 

In a filing with Dhaka Stock Exchange on Wednesday, the company said that its earnings per share (EPS) was Tk 1.53 for the year ended on December 31, 2020, 66.66 percent up from Tk 0.96 (restated) for the same period of the previous year.

Meanwhile, its net asset value (NAV) per share was Tk 12.75 during the same period against Tk 11.69 a year earlier.

The annual general meeting (AGM) of the company is scheduled to take place on August 14, 2021 via a digital platform. 

Back in 2019, the company offered 5 percent cash and 5 percent stock dividend to its shareholders. The adjusted opening price of each of its shares was Tk 56.1 during Wednesday’s session.
