GP’s Q2 earnings rise, offers 125% interim cash dividend

Grameenphone’s second quarterly (April-June) earnings rose by 17.1 percent.
Meanwhile, the company also offered 125 percent cash dividend for the first half of the financial year.
In a filing with Dhaka Stock Exchange on Thursday, the company said that its earnings per share (EPS) was Tk 6.30 for April-June 2021 as against Tk 5.38 for the same period of the previous financial year.
Meanwhile, its net asset value (NAV) per share was Tk 36.98 as of June 30, 2021, and Tk 38.59 as of December 31, 2020.
For the year 2020, GP offered 275 percent cash dividend to its shareholders. The adjusted opening price for each of its shares was Tk 355.2 during Thursday’s session.
