Dhaka stocks opened flat on Sunday following two days of profit-booking losses.
The benchmark DSEX index was down over 6 points or 0.11 percent at 5,101, while the DSES index saw a fractional drop of 0.85 point or 0.07 percent at 1,179 and blue-chip DS30 index shed 2 points or 0.11 percent at 1,796.
After a record week, stocks have been volatile in the previous two sessions amid concerns over Covid-19 spike in the winter season.
“Yet, coronavirus stimulus is still the main driving force in the market right now and investors are tracking the implementation of the stimulus packages,” said a stock broker.
Out of issues so far traded, 116 advanced, 97 declined and 99 remained unchanged.
