Stocks open mixed

Dhaka stocks opened mixed on Wednesday morning in choppy trade, as investors persistently cheered the vaccination rollout and prospect of more fiscal stimulus to support a pandemic-damaged economy.

The DSEX moved up 17 points or 0.32 percent at 5,375 in line with the gain seen in the previous fifth consecutive session.

Other indices, the DSES saw a fraction loss of 0.36 point or 0.01 percent to 1,233 and blue-chip DS30 added 10 points or 0.53 percent to 1,946.

Robi continued to post its stellar run for the fifth trading day in a row, hitting the upper circuit to Tk 29.80 at open on the DSE.
