Prices of goods, services may go up, down

Prices of some products and services may go up and down following changes to tariff in the proposed budget (FY25) placed by Finance Minister A H Mahmood Ali in Jatiya Sangsad on Thursday.

There might be decrease in the prices of different products and services, including rice, edible oil, sugar, chickpeas, milk, wheat, aircraft engines, propellers, powdered milk, motorcycle, dengue test kits, dialysis filters and dialysis circuit products, cancer treatment equipment, carpets, electric motor and laptop, reports BSS.

On the other hand, price may increase in case of some products, including phone and internet services, furnace oil, lubricants, mineral lubricants, base oil, cigarettes, CNG conversion kits, and cylinders, Air conditioners and refrigerators, water filter, LED bulb, imported cashew nuts, ice cream, carbonated beverages, amusement parks, theme parks, and tourism services.
