Stocks open higher for second consecutive day

Dhaka stocks opened higher on Wednesday, just like it did on Tuesday.

However, on Tuesday, the market ended up erasing most of the earlier gains in the second half.

As of Wednesday 12:15pm, the benchmark index DSEX gained 22 points or 0.47 percent to 4858 points.

The DSES index was up 3.4 points or 0.3 percent to 1116 and blue-chip DS30 rose about 5.7 points or 0.34 percent to 1681.

The volume of trade-in value stood at Tk 293.87 crore. Of the issues traded, 92 declined, 150 advanced while the value of 89 stocks remained unchanged.
