Bangladesh economy on track to recovery: SANEM

Dhaka (Oct 24, 2020): Bangladesh’s economy is on track to recovery from the onslaught of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic riding on positive growth in readymade garments and remittances, according to an analysis of think-tank.

SANEM came up with the observations at a discussion titled “Covid-19 and Bangladesh: Path to economic recovery”.  Executive Director of SANEM Dr Selim Raihan moderated the event spoke by around 50 speakers.

Speakers said in terms of productive activities, there is positive indication towards recovery, but it is not uniform to all sectors.

However, they said true recovery needs recovering employment, income and wellbeing of millions of people.
