India, during the virtual summit between Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Narendra Modi, offered Bangladesh to use its seaports for exporting goods to third countries.
“We offered the use of our seaports to Bangladesh for export to third countries by bringing in goods using railway containers,” Joint Secretary (Bangladesh and Myanmar) of India’s External Affairs Ministry Smita Pant said in an online media briefing on Friday.
While replying to a question, she also said that India handed over 18 mortals (120mm) to Bangladesh on the occasion of Victory Day, as part of the bilateral defence cooperation.
