Dhaka stocks opened lower on Monday, in line with the previous session’s downward trend.
In the first 30 minutes into the trade, the benchmark DSEX index has decreased over 3 points or 0.05 percent.
Other indices, the shariah-based DSES index was down by 0.43 points or 0.03 per cent and the blue-chip DS30 index decreased by 1.43 points or 0.05 percent.
Over Tk 121 crore worth of shares traded so far in DSE index, where BATBC, Beximco, Delta Life, Alif Manufacturing and Orion Pharma were the top five traded stocks.
Meanwhile, DSEX index, fell by over 50 points to close the day at 6,855 on Sunday.
Among other DSE indices, the shariah-based DSES index fell by 17.86 points, or 1.22 percent, and blue-chip DSE-30 fell by 2.31 points or 0.08 percent.
Over Tk 1,145 crore worth of shares were traded on the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Sunday, up from Tk 1,068 crore in the previous session.
