Karnaphuli Insurance records 152% earnings growth in Q3

Karnaphuli Insurance Company has recorded around 152 percent increase in its earnings in the third quarter of the calendar year of 2021, ended September, against the same quarter of the last year.

Its earnings per share (EPS) stood at Tk 0.63 in Q3, increased from Tk 0.25 recorded in July-September last year, said the insurer in a filing with the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Wednesday.

As of September 30, 2021, the company’s net asset value (NAV) per share stood at Tk 19.46 against Tk 18.11 as on September 30, 2020.

Meanwhile, the company's earnings per share (EPS) for the first nine months of the current financial year (January-September '21) stood at Tk 1.64.

The earnings per share (EPS) for the same period of the previous financial year was Tk 0.89.

As a result, the company's profit has increased by Tk 0.75 or 84 percent.
