Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir was elected president of Bangladesh Jewellers’ Samity (BAJUS) on Monday.
The final results of the 2021-2023 term of the 35-member executive committee of the organisation were announced at the BAJUS office of Baitul Mukarram Market.
Sayem Sobhan Anvir, also the managing director of Bashundhara Gold Refinery Limited and Arisha Jewelers Limited, are dreaming that gold jewellery produced in Bangabandhu's Sonar Bangla will soon be exported to the world market.
The renowned entrepreneur of the country expressed his gratitude to all the jewellery traders across the country for electing the entire panel headed by him.
In this election, Dilip Kumar Agarwala, managing director of Diamond World Limited, has been elected general secretary.
Alamgir Shamsul Alamin Kajal, president of REHAB and director of FBCCI, the apex body of businessmen, was the chairman of BAJUS Election Board. Another FBCCI Director Iqbal Hossain Chowdhury and Dhaka Chamber Director Hossain A Sikder were members of the election board.
