eCourier Ltd, a parcel delivery service provider, on Monday said it would ensure person-to-person service across the country within six hours through air service.
Biplob Ghosh Rahul, founder and chief executive officer of the eCourier, came up with the announcement while inaugurating a new logo of the company at a ceremony held in Dhaka this noon.
“We want to offer better customer experiences through providing 360-degree services,” Rahul said while addressing the reporters at the ceremony.
It is not possible for all the existing courier service platforms in Bangladesh to fulfil the rising demands for parcel delivery and thus eCourier has increased the scope of its service across the country, he said.
“Our main activities were business-to-business delivery at a time but now the new service will be person-to-person. We have already initiated air service facilities in our new adventure to ensure delivery of goods within six hours across the country,” he said.
Delivery drop-off centres have already been set up in 64 districts besides establishing pick-up points in 18 districts and anyone can avail the service by using the internet, he said.
“We have also initiated air parcels by which goods can be delivered to any place in the country in six hours following the guideline of the e-commerce services,” he added.
The platform also introduced warehouse facilities to ensure proper management of the clients’ goods, he said.
E-Commerce Association of Bangladesh President Shahab Uddin Shipon, who was present at the Monday’s ceremony as special guest, praised eCourier for its service in the development of e-commerce in the country.
