Bangladeshi denim makers exhibiting products in Munich

Bangladesh’s illustrious denim fabrics manufacturing companies are taking part at the “Munich Fabric Start” in Germany, the biggest market of Bangladesh’s apparel in the EU. The two-day exhibition began on Tuesday.
Bangladeshi denim mills, Chittagong Denim Mills, NZ Denim Mill and Denim Expert are participating in the expo.
Bangladeshi denim mills that have already earned a reputation, displaying sustainable fabrics to attract more global buyers.
“To promote denim products, Bangladesh is demonstrating its quality fabrics in the exposition,” Shupolo Dewan, Assistant General Manager (AGM) of Chittagong Denim Mills, told the Business Insider Bangladesh.
He said the exhibition will lead to spot orders for the participants, as well.
“As the work orders have declined by 25 percent in the global market, I hope this expo will help us collect some more orders for the next year,” Dewan said.
MUNICH FABRIC START is becoming a fully integrated fashion-sourcing destination with the source where all-in-one providers present turnkey, end-to-end solutions from PLV to white-label.
The expo is an international fabric trade fair. Various exercises of spinning, non-woven, weaving, knitting, buttons, trims, jewellery components, fastenings, hang tags, garment making, testing, software as well as dyestuff and chemicals, etc are being displayed.
Various backward and forward linkage industries such as manufacturing, fabrication, repair and maintenance, textile, fabrics and yarn industries get limelight, thanks to this show, said the insiders.
This event defines trends and innovations in buttons, trims, jewellery components, fastenings, hang tags and a range of other functional and decorative accessories and solutions.
In the 2021-22 fiscal year, Bangladesh earned $7.17 billion from Germany, the highest earning in the EU, followed by Spain $3 billion and France $2.40 billion, respectively.
