NBR starts pre-budget meeting for FY25 on Feb 4

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) will start the pre-budget meetings for the next fiscal year (FY25) with the concerned stakeholders on February 4.
Through such pre-budget parleys, the revenue board would exchange views with the leaders and representatives of various chambers and associations as well as with the professionals from different sectors on the key issues of income tax, customs and VAT.
Public relations officer (director) of NBR Syed A Momen said that the pre-budget meeting which begins on February 4 would continue till March 7, reports BSS.
The pre-budget meeting of the NBR would end with the holding of the joint NBR-FBCCI consultative committee meeting where businessmen representing various sectors would highlight their valuable opinions and recommendations for the next budget, he added.
NBR Chairman Abu Hena Md Rahmatul Muneem will preside over the pre-budget meetings to be held at the NBR Bhaban in the capital’s Agargaon area.
On the first day of the series of pre-budget meetings, the NBR will sit with the leaders of Television Channel Owners Association and the Newspapers Owners Association on February 4.
