Chinese company YiXin to invest $ 7.45mn in BEPZA EZ

Chinese company YiXin Bangladesh Co. Ltd. is going to set up a shoe accessories manufacturing industry in BEPZA Economic Zone (BEPZA EZ).

They will invest $ 7.45 million to produce annually 10 million pairs of footwear materials. The company will create employment opportunity for 1,509 Bangladeshi nationals, reports BSS.

In presence of BEPZA Executive Chairman Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman, an agreement to this effect was signed between Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and YiXin Bangladesh Co. Ltd. at BEPZA Complex, Dhaka today, said a press release.

Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA Md. Ashraful Kabir and Managing Director of YiXin Bangladesh Jian, Zaiyi signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.

BEPZA Executive Chairman thanked YiXin Bangladesh Co. to invest in Bangladesh, specially, in BEPZA EZ.

He urged the investors to start the construction of the factory as soon as possible.

Member (Engineering) Mohammad Faruque Alam, Member (Finance) A N M Foyzul Haque, Executive Director (Admin) A.S.M. Zamshed Khondaker, Executive Director (Investment Promotion) Md. Tanvir Hossain, Project Director of BEPZA EZ Mohammad Anamul Haque and Executive Director (Public Relations) A.S.M Anwar Parvez along with representatives of the enterprise were present during the signing ceremony.

Mentionable, a total of 32 companies, including YiXin Bangladesh signed agreements to invest in the BEPZA EZ with a total proposed investment of $718.46 million.
