Stocks open higher for the third consecutive day

Dhaka stocks opened higher on Thursday, just like it did on Wednesday and Tuesday.

Earlier on Wednesday, the market not only began on a positive note in the morning but also got momentum until the closure of trade supported by insurers.

As of Thursday 10:45am, the benchmark index DSEX gained 7.9 points or 0.16 percent to 4869 points.

The DSES index was up 2.2 points or 0.2 percent to 1119 and blue-chip DS30 rose about 4.5 points or 0.26 percent to 1686.

The volume of trade-in value stood at Tk 167.94 crore. Of the issues traded, 63 declined, 144 advanced while the value of 87 stocks remained unchanged.
