A total of 19 organisations in six different categories have been nominated for the President's Award for Industrial Development for their outstanding contribution to the private industrial sector in 2019.
The Ministry of Industries, in a gazette notification on Monday, announced the names of the award winners.
President Abdul Hamid is supposed to hand over the trophies or crests and letters of honour to the winners.
However, the authorities are yet to declare the date of the award distribution ceremony.
Large industry category
Among the nominated companies for the award, BRB Cable Industries and British American Tobacco Bangladesh Company jointly selected for the first prize in the large industry category. Mir Ceramic, and Jaber and Jobayer Fabrics will get second and third prizes, respectively.
In medium industry
In the medium industry category, Bengal Polymer Wires selected for the first, Noman Terry Towel Mills for the second and Aco-Tex and Crimson Rosella Sea Food jointly have been chosen for the third prize.
In small industry
In the small industry category, Promi Agro Foods came as the first, while Madhabadi Dyeing Finishing Mills was nominated as the second, and APS Holdings as the third.
In micro-industry
In the micro-industry, Moscow Dairy Enterprise will get the first prize, while Khan Bakelite Products will get the second and Raven Agro Chemicals the third prizes.
In cottage enterprise
Two companies will get prizes in the cottage industry category. The first is Core-The Jute Works, and the second is Samsunnahar Textile Mills.
In hi-tech industry
Walton Hi-Tech Industries, Information Technology Consultants, and Summit Communications have been nominated for the award in the high-tech industry
