Knitwear manufacturers and exporters will seek fresh stimulus from the government after the ongoing lockdown is over on August 5.
Selim Osman, president of Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) told this in a letter sent to its members on Sunday.
“Government knows that we are going through a very tough time now. We’ll appeal to the Prime Minister for a fresh stimulus package once the ongoing lockdown is over,” Osman said in the letter.
He hopes that the Prime Minister would extend her helping hands to exporters like what she did last year.
The BKMEA president also urged the exporters to strictly follow the government’s instruction regarding lockdown rules.
