First Security Islami Bank earnings increase 37% in Q2

First Security Islami Bank has posted about a 37 percent increase in its earnings in the second quarter ended June 2021 as against the same quarter last year.
Its earnings per share (EPS) stood at Tk 0.22 in Q2, an increase of 37 percent from Tk 0.16 recorded in the same period a year earlier, said the insurer in a filing with the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Tuesday.
As of June 30, 2021, the company’s net asset value (NAV) per share stood at Tk 19.46 against Tk 17.06 as on June 30, 2020.
Meanwhile, the company's earnings per share (EPS) for the first six months of the current financial year (January-June '21) stood at Tk 0.54.
The earnings per share (EPS) for the same period of the previous financial year was Tk 0.82. As a result, the company's profit has decreased by Tk 0.28 or 34 percent.
