The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) has extended the deadline for the share trading suspension of Beximco Synthetics seeking to be delisted from the stock markets.
“Share trading suspension of the company has been extended from August 4 to 18,” said the bourse in a statement on Tuesday.
The DSE first suspended the trading of the company’s shares in September last year, after the securities regulator instructed the bourses to suspend the share trading of Beximco Synthetics following the company’s proposal of delisting from the stock markets.
Beximco Synthetics, a concern of Beximco Group, is a Z-category company that has offered no dividends since 2012 when a 10 percent dividend was declared.
It got listed with the bourses in 1993. Of the total shares of the company, sponsor-directors hold 35.67 percent, institutions 24.09 percent, foreigner investors 0.02 percent and general investors 40.22 percent.
