The Indian authorities imposed a ban on travelling to Bangladeshi film artist Ferdous in April of 2019 as he participated in a local election campaign.
The authorities immediately sent Ferdous back to Bangladesh and imposed a visa ban on him.
However, Ferdous sought a written apology over the matter of participation in Indian electioneering.
As he was banned to get Indian visa, Ferdous was unable to star at the biopic of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman because the filming of the movie was done in India.
Finally, the visa ban has been lifted and Ferdous will join a film festival in Agartala on Wednesday.
Regarding the matter, Ferdous said, “India is like my second home. I am feeling much better to be able to visit the country after the ban is lifted.”
